    C++ Lessons for All

    As posted in the coding section, I will be offering free C++ lessons to those who want to learn. If you want to register for the course, you can do so here:

    http://xhoom.com/moodle/

    The first lecture will be Sunday the 9th of this month, at 2PM EST. I would urge anyone who can to make it, but for those who cant the chat log will be posted on the site.

    There are 3 requirements for the course.

    - Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 Compiler [or other compiler that you know how to use.] We will provide help setting up Visual C++ 6.0, though not with any other compilers.

    - Registered on irc.rizon.net . You must register with nickserv. If you don't know how to use IRC, try googling mIRC. Then, /server irc.rizon.net and /join #cpp_lessons To register your username with nickserv, try typing /msg nickserv register help. You must use the same IRC name as the website name

    - You need to register on the site posted above ( http://xhoom.com/moodle/ ) and post your username in this thread.

    I also recommend reading this topic: http://xhoom.com/moodle/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=1
    Note that it is required to read Chapter 0 before the first IRC lecture.

    So, anyone who wants to participate, get registering!

    Simple Hello World video using MSVC++ 6.0 by Thor, if you are going to use a different compiler (or want to make sure you can use MSVC++ 6.0), heres your reference for code + final output:

    Re: C++ Lessons for All

    Ok I think I got it now. I will be using TIM3 as my nick when using IRC.. Only problem I have is when I go to your lesson outline and registered there I had to fill out a reg form and I used my "real name". so now while viewing the course outline it shows my real name. Is this correct or will I/you have to delete it so i can reregister with TIM3

    Also I tried to do a test post on the course site, but it says I need to enroll and that it does not allow public access?? ???

    If you dont want to your real name to show, dont use it!

    Also, all the IRC chat logs will be posted on the site, so if you cant make it live you can always read the transcripts.
