Re: Lessons. [BlodSheed devc++]

hmm where do I start...

Questions

• What is the level of understanding of c++ language
• Where are you getting your information about c++
• What are you plans in you newly found coding interest

1. This one question probably could sum up most of your doubt and questions.. if you don't understand source and header files etc.. this tells me you understanding of the c++ language is very minimal. As I can almost remeber the very chapter that explained the use of source and header files and how to include them in to your project( and I have a bad memory). Most issues with learning c++ is found in this very question.. learn and understand what you are doing. Until then you will only get more off track/frustrated...

2. This is not really a big issue cause there is plenty of good information via our friend Google, but as a beginner even if the tutorial seems lame, what its trying to do is get you use to the language. Find a good tutorial that guide you through the really easy stuff step by step.. it will help you get comfortable with basic programing and later on you can laugh at how easy it was. Take it easy as well only bite off what you can chew as going over you head may make your head spin with compiling errors that you have no idea how to fix.

3. My favorite question of them all is this one.. cause this can really make or break you as a just a hack coder.. Even though it may seem really cool when you make your first hack.. there are aspects that are hard to comprehend until you practice and further your knowledge. For a lot of people it isn't worth the time and effort just to make a hack.. some of us its work, school, hobby related and have some advantage from the get go cause we already had a good understanding of the language. Or if you prefer to do more than just hack and are looking for a carreer..... possibly go to school for it. Even if you are not even old enough to drive you can still find programs/classes in your area.

good starting point = Google <-- will always come in handy

// I kinda rambled to if this doesn't help maybe some else can give a shout

By the way, console application -> empty project (or hello world, both should work) for your newbie coding.

One thing that people told me when I first started: It is always hard when you first start.

You will [eventually] be driven to frustration; just stick to it, and by the time you know it you will have it down.
Code:
<chaplja|> i'm taking over nixcoders
<Smileman`> cool
