To any people that write code:
Did you learn by yourself i.e. self taught from examples?
Or did you go to any schooling or both?
If someone was to get into coding where may be a good start?

Thanks for the links, already read these, very good reads. Anyone have opinions on Ruby?
I learned from books, source code, my own experimentation, and from fellow coding friends.
The best way to learn IMO is to find a good book (if you're learning C the original K&R is great). If wanting to learn assembler, the best way is to experiment with a debugger and your own software.
Code:<chaplja|> i'm taking over nixcoders <Smileman`> cool
