Thread: information about a few things

- can someone tell me what is a "compiler" i mean i know that it is something like Dev C++ but what means compiler?
- and how do you open a dll file without the weird signs? for example : !???C??9???J???????z??:*? (= what the hell?)
- can you give me some pages to learn C++ 4 free

compiler: the thing that compiles the code (i.e c++) into machine code (binary) so it can be run by the pc

a dll is a binary file (machine code) you can't read it like it was a normal file lol
