I had this problem and it seemed that setting my sound to 44100Hz fixed it. Hope that helps


or maybe it is the game that only crash

the site just sucks for exemplare i had a p3 with 905 mhz and my current ati card the site told me i cant play cod4 cod2 etc. and i had no problems to playing cod4 or cod2..
already 44100Hz

i smell a upgrade needed, how about all the money u get for ya cod4bot buy u a new pc lmao......... theres duo cores quad cores out these days, and ummm 2400hd pro, works on a frends of mine pc so its not the video card.. like ya said its proly ya motherboard which i know no one dat has dat issue, so go to newegg.com or tigerdirect.com and get ya a new combo kit liek a barebones package, for 189.99, put ya card in it and u wil be playin liek a real king.... jus a thought

I use to get the same error, but in English :P Here's what I did

Start>Control panel>Switch to classic view(If not already)>Phone and Modem options>Click on the Modems tab and remove the non-present modems.

Give it a try, reply if it works or not.

no my pc its just to old...
and i use w-lan.. (without any conections to the i-net always crashing direct at the start from cod5- mp ,sp)

Souns like you have a virus. I had this and I formatted my PC to get rid of it. I don't think there is another solution. I think you may have downloaded a bad hack and it F*cked up your COD5. Happens to me alot.

Orgy. If it is crashing and its a black screen, you dont see anything at all, but occasionally you hear a little bit of the loading intro sound, then, delete the treyarch.bik intro and all other intros (.bik) from the main folder in cod5s directory. I done that, i waited a little bit, but hey, it worked xD
