Thread: Name stealer and etkey

Hello, well i'm using nexus on 2.6 and 2.55 servers having a blast but there is one problem, I get banned lots of !ban 9999,!ban etc... but I can't find my EtKey I know you have to rename it and then change guid i just need to know where it is :-[ ??? .

Secondly, I've seen alot of people with these name stealers, I'm wondering if they're only available on private hacks or if its possible to download one.

Etkey is usally located in your Etmain folder , and the only bot i think i know of with name stealer for free is ETH , but its for linux computer's unless you install LiveCd.

Gotta make a small correction there The whole purpose of a LiveCd is so you won't need to install anything, you can simply run everything you need from the CD.
Idd, ETH is the only free atm, maybe it'll get implemented in Nexus in the future... Only time will tell...

little add on Etkey: your etmain is prob located in 'C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory'. You can rename, delete or move it. When et is started, it will generate a new etkey-file in etmain.
Side-Note: There are also bots with an 'unban-on-key'-feature

Thanx for the info, I geuss I found the EtKey(bunch of random numbers if i'm right) so i deleted it
Then I go back to that server with a new etkey and new GUID...and it still says i'm banned?

any imput?

Prob banned by ip then...
Go to &#39;start&#39;, &#39;run&#39;, type in: &#39;cmd&#39;, press <enter>, type in &#39;ipconfig /release&#39; <enter>, &#39;ipconfig /flushdns&#39;, &#39;ipconfig /renew&#39; to renew your ip, when you&#39;re net behind a router. Should that fail, you can use SMAC (link: here).
Note: all typings are without quotes

I guess they banned your ETPro GUID then, download Sinners Pr0pack to spoof it.

But uhhh, I still can&#39;t get in servers that I got banned on. I deleted EtKey as told, spoofed GUID with nexus spoof guid file, weird.

Try deleting your etkey again, start up et and when you are in main menu type &#39;/pb_cdkeyreg&#39; without quotes in console.
Is it an etpro-server? Coz there&#39;s also something as an etpro-guid. That won&#39;t change by deleting the etkey. Use a etpro-guid-spoofer provided here.
Tried deleting your profile ? Tried fresh install ?
Tried SMAC?
If you&#39;re behind a router, it&#39;s possible it&#39;s a subnet-ban, try gaining access to the config-menu of your router and spoof it. But doubt it will have any effect. To escape a subnet ban, it usually requires switching ISP&#39;s.
In case of a hardware ban, you could change the windows-activation-key. Or, as hardware bans are based on mac and NIC, try changing both of them.
You could also try to: delete etkey, delete pb folder, run 2.6 patch, disconnect your internet connection, turn off modem, turn on modem,re establish internet link,...

Namestealer = bot what steals names from other players
It is built into many pvt hacks...
