Nah thats not an option.
Maybe require 5 posts before they can use the chatbox.

I would actually put it like 20 or 40. its becoming stupid, full of spam.

I would have taken the chatbox long time ago

I agree the spamming has to stop but....the problem with the post limit in order to use the chat box is that people will just spam threads until they get the amount of post to use the chatbox.

They don't in theory, I do that on whiteLight (5 posts).

They will stop using it as a searchbox at least, since it will make them realise, that's definately a good thing.
