Where do I get Eth32?

How do I open the .rar download file?
WinRAR is free and is capable of handling this operation. Get WinRAR from here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

How do I use Eth32?
Quick install:
1) Unpack hack to a directory outside of your
Enemy Territory directory.

2) Move eth32.pk3 to the "etmain" directory
within your Enemy Territory directory.

3) Load up your web browser and register an
account at http://eth32.nixcoders.org(you should keep
your username simple and recommend no clan
tags).

4) Within your hack directory, open up
"auth.ini" in notepad, add your portal
username so it should look like this:

[Auth]
Username=YourPortalUsername
Password=YourPortalPassword

NOTE: case-sensitive

5) Run "eth32.exe" and point it to your
"et.exe" within your Enemy Territory
directory.
Make sure to read the readme before using the bot!

That process seems difficult, is there an easier way?

Why isn't the hack working when I press f9?
READ above and take special care with steps 3 and 4. Check and recheck that you have done those steps correctly. If you are not capable of following these simple instructions then eth32 is not the hack for you as it requires a certain (basic) level of competence from the user.

How do I know if it’s working?
Press f9 and a menu will pop up if you have successfully loaded the hack.

What do I do if it's NOT working after I have tried all of the above?
Post screenshots if possible and provide as much information as possible in THIS thread. E.g. Does ET load at all? Do you get any error messages? If so, what are they? Does ET work without the hack? etc. The more info you can provide, the easier it is for us to help you.

The hack is working but I don't understand how to use it?
Read the README, that comes with the download. It will explain everything to do with running and setting Eth32. If you don't understand what some of the technical jargon means (e.g. 'aimfov' 'aimstyle' etc.) don't be afraid to ask HERE or even popping on the IRC channel and other users/programmers will be available to help you out.

Also, if you are having trouble with settings, try checking HERE where our members provide helpful tips and suggestions. Hc4lnickl has shared his eth32 cfg so you might want to use THIS as a starting point.

ETH32 HACK SPECIFIC FAQ

I see lots of orange + black squares everywhere?!?!
This is because your eth32.pk3 MUST be in your etmain directory. If you have done so and it is still not working, make sure the hack is pointed at the correct installation of ET (i.e. Make sure it is 'pointed' at an install of ET where the .pk3 was placed).

I have set it to 'Autoshoot' on but it’s not working for all weapons?
You MUST configure each individual weapon in the individual Weapon settings menu. Make sure 'autoshoot' is toggled on for the weapons you want autoshoot to work for.

Help! I am pressing +attack (mouse1) but its NOT shooting?
Turn OFF Validate Attack if you would like to be able to self-fire your weapon.

Sniper is not hitting?!?!
For scoped weapons, make sure you have added a value for 'delay' in the individual Weapon settings menu. (Try a value between 500 and 1000).

How do I set vecs?

Custom hitboxes are difficult to configure for a beginner and not recommended unless you know what you are doing. You are much better off using the default hitbox-style aiming which is just as effective.

I can’t kill other Eth32 users?!?!
Toggle 'Coop' (Co-operation mode) off if you would like to shoot and kill other Eth32 users.

REMEMBER to make sure you have set your firewall to allow Eth32/ET to access the internet. It might be 'silently' blocking Eth32’s "transmissions" to and forth between the portal and the hack which is a integral part of the how the hack behaves. Errors such as IRC not working and tracker not functioning may be caused by your firewall so it is suggested that you temporarily disable your net protection whilst playing with Eth32.
