hey, well, as most of you know, i am getting a computer, and i think i found a great one, if i get some good feedback i'ma use my dads paypal or credit card or w/e he got and order it, i jsut gotta pay him back
so i will give you the specs, the price in CAD and how much of a deal that it says it is.
this is a dimension 9200

256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT-DDR3 (will this video card be supported with the new games like -et:quake wars- and -half life 2- and games like that?)

standard dell usb keyboard (for now,i'll probably get a logitech G15 gaming keyboard later))
Logitech G5 Gaming Laser USB Mouse (i want a usb not cordless for better precision)
all this for $1,215.00 CAD. it says that t is originallt $1,575.00 CAD but its on sale.
ummm, togeather with shipping and handeling and taxes and stuff i am looking at about $1,400.00 CAD
how does she look.
also, i asked if i can hookup this to my woofer and speakers in my room, i can go take pictures of my woofer and speakers to upload here so u can tell me if i will be able to hookup or not. or you can just tell me what i need to look to see what i have to hookup to.
ummm the E6600 processor is lots fast enough for just browsing the internet, playing some flash games, then exit outtta internet and go play a game like ET right? it wont be slow or anything?
the 2 GB dual channel memory is lots enough for my uses?
and yeah i really wanna know if that grafix card will be supported on new games, caz thats really all i can afford but tell me the truth please.
and i didnt really say what i want this for but, i'll tell you how i would set it up:
i will use it for primarely gaming, not like 5 big games like WOW or anything either, maybe buy 2 disk games and then play like 1 online game that i DLed off the internet or something. i would also use it for playing flash games on the internet, but any computer can handle that, right?. and i have a mp3 player so with my mp3 software put on to this computer i could transfer music between the two, i dont need any special hookup do i? and thats about all i would use it for.
my internet situation is this, the computer i am typing with rite now is upstairs in my computer room, my bedroom, where i would put my new computer, is downstairs, so thats 1 floor down. caz my house only has 2 floors. and with a router, that i will buy separetly from the pc, i will be able to hookup my downstairs (new) computer to the internet right? i think thats how it would go. but i have a little question
with two computers running on the same internet connection is the internet gonna be really slow? because rite now i am using a sasktell highspeed internet connection, so i should be able to run both computers on that internetconnection without it being slow right? or will it be slow? and it should not be a problem with keeping this computer that i am typing on rite now turned on because it always stays on, and thats what i need to have internet on my new PC right?
i think that about raps it up, i would apreciate absoutely anything that you have to say, bacause this is the first pc i ever bought, and i need tips from real smart men like u guys, and i know u are.
and if someone has said something that you were going to say, say it in your words or your oppinion to please, i wanna hear all sides and points of view, i really have my eyes set on this pc and if i get the thumbs up from the smart ones (you guys) then i'ma go buy it right away.
thanks for your time
i wasnt getting a reply on my other forum but i know u guys will help me here![]()
