Thread: [SoF 2, Problem]

I got a problem with Soldier of Fortune 2.
My problem is the downloadspeed won't go any higher than 12 kb/sec when I used to have 450 kb/sec in ET (I know, still slow but faster than 12 kb/sec lol...).
Can anybody help me with this problem?
Because I'm sure of it this question will be asked to me, yes I have put the right connectionspeed into the options.
I play ET for 3.5 years, so I'm not that stupid .

Is it the case on all servers? As I assume it's the server which is limiting the download speed. Or they might be using a slow ftp or http filehost.
Try downloading the needed files manually...

Have you limited the download speed somewhere in your game? Has your connection been set correctly? Are you running any software such as download/upload limiters etc?

I have selected the downloadspeed I used to have in Enemy Territory. (DSL)
So I don't really know the problem...

Yeah, sorry, don't have SoF, so I'm just taking a few guesses...
Try to eliminate I'd say... If ET still downloads fine, the problem is most likely caused by SoF itself... If you were able to download normally before, figure out what has changed since them. Consider a re-install?

I just installed it because I couldn't find the cd's anymore. (after 1 year of excessive search :P)

this is NOT A PROBLEM

Every server, Every client got the same ...

server admins doesnt got an download url

you can see, when you download from ET without download redirect you download with 5/6 12/15 kb to

the same on SoF
no server got download redirect

No redirects on their servers... lol
