    New Intel Rig :: Thoughts?

Hey guys, my PC is WAY out of date. I've never bought new parts except for a graphics card twice, which was a 7300GT, and a 9800GT, and now I'm in desperate need of a new rig. Here is what I'm planning on:

Antec Lanboy air Red Black / Red ATX Mid Tower Computer Modular Case = 189.99 = 139.99 Discount
    ASRock P67 EXTREME4 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard = 169.99 = 154.99 Discount
    XFX HD-695X-CNFC Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity = 269.99
    CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W ATX12V v2.31/ EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC High Performance Power Supply = 139.99 = 109.99 Discount
    Intel Core i7-2600 Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600 = 299.99
    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9Q-16GBRL = 109.99 = 89.99 Discount
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible Intel ( Fan ) = 29.99 = 25.19 Discount

    Total: $1,090.13

Any exceptions, ideas, plans, anything at all, please let me know. I'm on a limited budget, but trying to stay under $1,200, but I can pop over that just barely for the extra dent to make in the upcoming years for my dedication. Also keep in mind, I can't just spend money willy nilly. This money is NOT coming from my parents pockets like a spoiled rich-kid, I work hard for this money to be able to get what I want/need.

    Thanks,
    ~Chase

Like I said, I just went through and was picking and choosing. I don't know what's good and reliable, as I was never able to do these kind of things. Now that I have a steady source of income, I can finally. I know the i7 is what I want, but didn't mean to get the locked one or w.e. Help?

The one with the "K" at the end is the unlocked version, in this case 2600K. And weird but true, at least in Finland those are also a few euros cheaper.

You get Intel's thermal solution only if you buy a i7 in the box so this isn't a standard cooler
the standard one would be the small boxed cooler for the i5/i3

Why are you building a new one? What is the goal?

Every solution should have a problem otherwise it's over capitalization on an asset to solve nothing which is a waste.

You must tell us why you want a new one...

You shouldn't really be throwing in the best just because it's the best...Because it's very likely you won't use it for it's maximum potential...

Do you do like, For professional work such as autocad 3d , design programs, music studio programs etc etc.... if not.. Well you can save like another $100 - $150

The case is very nice but vulnerable don't put any drinks or fluids near it.

I've got a dual core athlon 3.1 ghz and a 5970 ati Video card... and can get a solid 60 fps on Max graphics Crysis 2... So by telling you this! you know you've probably gone with the higher end stuff.

Now if you happen to works autocad 3d , design programs, music studio programs etc etc. then disregard what i said.

    Everything else is fine

Except the CPU, Video card... and maybe just a little to much ram! Goodluck

    Rigged to die!
